Buy.com Shifts Its Affiliate Program to Commission Junction

Santa Barbara, Calif. and Aliso Viejo, Calif.- July 6, 2005 — ValueClick, Inc.'s (Nasdaq: VCLK) Commission Junction, a provider of advanced online performance marketing solutions, and Buy.com®, the Internet Superstore, announced that Buy.com has selected Commission Junction to power its performance marketing program and to drive sales through the affiliate marketing channel. Per the agreement, Buy.com moved its affiliate program to Commission Junction in early June, and has implemented CJ VantageTM and CJ AssociateTM to capitalize upon Commission Junction's affiliate expertise and program management services.

"We were attracted to Commission Junction's dedicated and specialized management team and network of high quality publishers," said Neel Grover, president of Buy.com. "It is extremely important for us to keep our close working relationships with our affiliates, and we are excited about our ability to now offer more dynamic tools to our affiliates in an effort to save time and maximize conversions. We are looking forward to a strong partnership."

Buy.com's decision to switch to Commission Junction was based on Commission Junction's advanced strategic relationship management solution, CJ Vantage; comprehensive, dedicated account management solution, CJ Associate; CJ's network of 70,000 productive publishers; and its dominance in a range of industry categories.

Commission Junction will partner with Buy.com in an effort to grow its publisher base by accessing Commission Junction's large network of publishers. Buy.com will tap into Commission Junction's experience across multiple industries to expand its affiliate marketing program into new product categories. In order to increase publishers' promotional effectiveness, Buy.com will also use Commission Junction's product catalog functionality, which provides publishers up-to-date data on approximately two million Buy.com products.

"Buy.com is a stellar example of a market leader who understands the power of pay-for-performance marketing and we're very pleased to have them as a client," said Tom Vadnais, senior vice president, Commission Junction and Mediaplex. "The remarkably smooth migration to our network is proof of Buy.com's dedication to its publishers and Commission Junction's extensive experience in adjusting to advertisers' unique needs."
