Merchant Acquisition Associate-

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Rakuten.com Shopping is looking for a motivated and driven individual to join our merchant acquisition team. This individual will be responsible for lead generation and acquisition of merchants to sell on our website platform in order to enhance the product assortment of our award winning Rakuten.com Shopping Marketplace. Our ideal candidate must be a self-starter and tenacious individual with an understanding of the e-commerce and a quick learner. An understanding of marketplace platforms such as Amazon or eBay is a plus. Must be very detail-oriented and foster strong working relationships, have good follow-up with potential partners, and see projects through from start to finish. The ideal candidate has the ability to flex your communication style to pitch our services to a small business owner as well as senior corporate executives. This person must not shy away from making cold-calls and be comfortable fielding technical questions, negotiating contract terms and extremely self-motivated to not just meet but exceed challenging growth goals. Occasional travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • BA required or equivalent experience
  • Experience in e-commerce or other online business greatly preferred

Rakuten.com Shopping is looking for a Sales Executive to help drive our display advertising revenue. If you enjoy the challenge and excitement of helping contribute to the building of a sales team and the satisfaction that your input and suggestions matter, this is the job for you! The position has excellent compensation opportunity for the right person and performance.

We are looking for someone who has existing relationships with Digital Advertising agencies and key clients. The ideal candidate has a talent for developing and cultivating deep relationships at all levels with ad agencies. 2-3 years experience of successfully prospecting, qualifying and generating new business - experience working in online ad sales or a media buyer/planner looking to transition to sales is preferred.

Areas of responsibility will include working with major online accounts and their agencies, articulating Buy.com's overall business objectives and value proposition to the advertising community, and closing strategic advertising deals on Rakuten.com's website, mobile and other platforms.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Homepage Planner-

SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and update the homepage weekly to keep it fresh and exciting at all times. Focus on increasing conversion, driving revenue and increasing AOS.
  • Create and maintain strategic plans tied to merchandising and marketing strategies.
  • Measure effectiveness of the homepage. Make appropriate recommendations to merchandise teams and management to improve functionality and design.
  • Partner with Ecommerce Consultants (ECC's), merchants, creative group, and marketing in order to ensure effective content from inception through completion.
  • Recap, analyze and interpret data/results to plan and forecast content that gets loaded on a weekly, monthly basis and ad hoc basis
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Cross Functional team members ( i.e. Product Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Web-Development)
  • Regularly conduct and report competitive analysis of what other eCommerce companies are doing that is relevant to our space.
  • Provide and implement ideas to improve the quality and integrity of the site.
  • Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) associated with the homepage and other event pages.
  • Assist with development of internal process for the handling of all digital assets.
  • Assist with First Party and Marketplace image assets to ensure they are normalized for site wide usage.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 2-4 yrs plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Senior Software Engineer - IT Payment & Fraud-

SUMMARY:

Researches, designs, and develops computer software systems, including but not limited to Windows services, web services, and 3rd party software and services integration's.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

Designs, modifies, develops, writes, tests, and implements software applications. Supports and/or installs software applications. Participates in the testing process: test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Performs a variety of complex tasks requires strong cognitive skills and prior application in a production environment. May lead projects and will coordinate with many other software development groups. This position reports directly to a project lead or manager. The individual will need to work across numerous business units to gather project requirements and author documentation. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The individual will be assigned to multiple concurrent projects.

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator with 6+ years of SQL Server experience and who recently worked in a large scale and high availability environment. The DBA along with other team members will manage multiple Microsoft SQL Server database servers that support production e-commerce website and backend processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Overall high traffic Production DBA 24 X 7.
  • Performance monitoring tuning capacity planning
  • Assist development team with debugging and optimization of SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Strong TSQL and SSIS, Table Partition, Replication, Cluster, Always on.
  • Install and configured SQL 2008R2, SQL2012.
  • Database backup recovery Automation.
  • Install, configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Design, implement and maintain database objects.
  • Review the database objects developed by the application owners for performance and integrity.

Requirements:

  • BS Degree, computer science or relative degree.
