Book 12 in Debbie Macomber's popular Cedar Cove series takes place during the Christmas season, and focuses on Beth Morehouse, her college-age daughters, and her thriving Christmas tree farm. While her kids plot to get Beth back together with their father (Beth's ex-husband), things are starting to heat up between her and her new beau, the local veterinarian Ted Reynolds. Enter a basketful of abandoned puppies that Beth must find homes for, and a twisty, mistletoe-bedecked plot ensues.

This final book has a slightly different feel since not only are we following Beth's story, Ms. Macomber is trying to bring many of the stories from many years to closure. There may be characters I missed, but it seems to me that every main character we have been introduced to over the past 10 years is at least mentioned or has their storyline referenced.
