A precursor to ARLI$$, HBO's 1980s sitcom 1ST & TEN satirized the world of professional sports through the outrageous antics and characters of a fictional football team owned by a sexy socialite (Delta Burke). Co-starring a topnotch ensemble cast that included Tom "Tiny" Lister Jr., Tony Longo, John Matuszak, Lawrence Taylor, and even O.J. Simpson, the series' brand of irreverent humor was lent an air of realism by guest appearances from actual football players Jim Kelly, Marcus Allen, Brian Bosworth, Steve Young, and Roger Craig, among others.
