|Onkyo 7.2 Channel Black Home Theater Receiver|
I thought this was a good deal but boy was I wrong.... I purchased this reciever luckily from pc Richards so I was able to return immediately.... Two channels surround high left n right did not work and the picture it sent back to my television was horrible with hdmi monster cables..... Sound quality was poor on the 5 channels that worked.....I'm comparing this to my old Sony reciever and it was a big step down.... Very disappointing because I was expecting a lot from what cnet had to say about it.....Willl never consider onkyo again in my life.....I returned and purchased the Sony strdn1030 because I got a great deal of 359.00 at my pc Richards because it was opened box sumone had returned but I ended up purchasing a 5 year warranty for 60 bucks so 420 and it works great.....anyone doubting Sony recievers is mistaken the sound quality kills the onkyo.....I'm using the energy 5.1 take classic along with two energy Ef-500 tower speakers for a 7.1 channel surround with the new Sony reciever I'm very happpy!!! Onkyo quality control issues....if its not hdmi issues it's channels n they just can't replicate the same quality picture the Sony sends back to the TV not even close....worth mentioning I'm using a monster hdp 1800 power center with stage 2 filtering....makes a slights sound difference in all recievers for the better
First - YES, I would recommend this product! I am lovin' this thing. I fell in love with Onkyo back in the early 90's when I was trained on them at Circuit City - I mean really trained, not that bulls*** training they give these guys today.
