Great for its price12/26/2010
I'm not a electronics wiz but the screen is bright enough and clear enough so its good for me.
Great products and great service12/17/2010
I bought this monitor from Buy.com marketplace. Legend Micro shipped it out and it arrived on time. I had a small issue, but Alex (Customer Service Supervisor) at legendmicro.com helped me through it. Their customer service responds quickly and finds resolution - great service! I am a firm believer in the quality of Samsung and have 2 large TVs. Their monitors are just as awesome!
Got a bad one of these from a local store for twice this price. This one is perfect out of the box! Get one of these if you want a non-fatiguing monitor.
What a great monitor.12/8/2010
This about the brightess monitor I have seen. Auto and touch screen adjustments. No buttons. Sharp clear images. I would buy an other if needed. Has analog and digital cable with it. No CONS
Good price, Bad quality and worst Samsung custome11/19/2010
I bought a brand new, full priced monitor through DELL, jst used it for more than a month, and left it unused for a few months. When I turned it on and connected it to my laptop last month, it stopped working (no power, though plugged). I called Samsung. They accepted the warranty, but wanted me to ship it to them for a free repair. They promised to send me a shipping address, but five weeks have passed, I never received it. Their customer service was hard to reach. As a contrast, DELL sent a technician to repair its defective laptop at my home, and SONY first shipped a new, replacement monitor in three days and then took the defective one back with a pre-paid address with the replacement monitor (I could use the new monitor sooner, and I could also conveniently use the box for the replacement monitor to ship the defective one back. Quick and convenient service!) The price was good. When it worked, it was good. But when it was off, the remaining light bothered my sleep, and I had to stood up and crossed over the monitor to reach the switch at the lower back.
Big screen BUT item description complaint10/5/2010
The item description had no warning about attempted use with older technology. Bought monitor to use with older computer. System video card has 128mb; the monitor would not dumb itself down to a compatible resolution. Nor was there a simple warning graphic to indicate that the video card/computer needed to be upgraded. Now I'm looking for a newer computer. Expecting to spend extra time transfering files and seting up network/printers again. JOY!
Pros: Bright, huge, excellent color and response time Cons: Almost doesn't fit on my desk. Almost. :) I have always trusted Samsung, and was thrilled when I saw this 24" monitor at such a good price. And a refurb with a 1 year warranty was very reassuring. I was not disappointed!
Samsung keeps its typical standards running with this monitor. I love it. Just remember to 1. Turn on the hard power switch on the back 2. Slide your finger over the LED on the bottom-right to turn that bad boy on. :-)
Nice piece o gear9/8/2010
I got this big ol monitor a couple of weeks ago. Shipping speed was amazing. It seemed to arrive as soon as I hit "send" on the order form. Right out of the box it was GREAT. No missing or stuck pixels. Set up was hella easy. I couldn't be happier ... unless you want to pay my bill
Completely adjustable display, thin, light good color rendition. What's not to like about that?
Worth the Money4/3/2010
I purchased this as a second monitor for my 17" laptop. Warning: when you take this monitor out of the box, make sure you have on your sunglasses when you turn it on! It's bright! My laptop has HDMI out and I already owned an HDMI-DVI cable, necessary because this monitor is DVI in, not HDMI. The picture is understandably better with DVI input than VGA. The picture on this monitor isn't quite as good as I expected. The specs are better than my Samsung LN46A550, but the picture does not seem as good, even after I've adjusted the monitor. But for my purposes, and the great price, I am fully satisfied and recommend this product. Remember: if you want sound, you need to supply speakers. This monitor has none.
What a great buy!12/30/2009
Awesome in every aspect - great clarity, color, usability and looks exceptional. The only drawback was that the stand is not height-adjustable but that's easily fixed with an after-market stand.
Great monitor for the price12/17/2009
PROS: Matte display - It works well even if sunlight is hitting it / Touch-sensitive monitor controls (the screen isn't though) / Color Ratio at the price (50,000:1 at $190) / Large screen size - 24" / Easy to set up. CONS: None. OTHER THOUGHTS: I got this monitor on one of those Thanksgiving deals, and it works great. I haven't hooked up a digital signal to it yet, but even the analog graphics look fine on the 24". If the digital signal quality looks worse, I'll update the rating, but otherwise, quality looks great for movies and games.
Very happy with this product - no issues, plug and play as second monitor right out of the box. Bright screen, intuitive controls, and attractive aesthetic.
Superior panel for price11/4/2009
Movies, powerpoint, CAD, games, all pop and shine on this screen. Angled views are reasonably good at this price point but a TV is better if more than a few people are arrayed to watch. Bezel controls are elegant & simple. Bezels themselves are attractive & functional, not too large. As computer monitors, these are nearly ideal at this price point. Two minor gripes: 1. No DisplayPort (DVI present for HDMI conversion). I don't really expect DisplayPort at this price point, but it'd still be appreciated. 2. Recessed 200x100mm VESA mount. I'm using 4 of these in a 2x2 quad monitor configuration; but the recessed mounting area made fitting standard brackets OR screws impossible. I ultimately had to buy over-long screws, prop up the brackets with washers, and use additional washers to compensate for the over-long screw (I didn't dare cut the screws myself due to the narrowness of the thread).
