Works, but major caveat
It just dropped right into my Xbox 360 4g model and I thought I was good as gold. It was recognized at boot up, I was able to play various "hard drive only" features of Halo and download some demos. So far, so good. But then I decided to see if I could play some original Xbox games I had lying around. I had heard you needed a hard drive in order to play original Xbox games, that even a big USB thumb drive wouldn't do it - hard drive only. But I figured I was all set. I spent the next day or so trying everything I could to get it to even recognize my Xbox discs, even though they were on the "officially supported" list: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2552032 It wouldn't even recognize the game disc. Then I came across some folks that said original Xbox games were only supported by an "official" Microsoft Xbox drive. So I went out and bought an official one and the problem immediately went away. So only buy this hard disc if you know you will never ever want to play an original Xbox game.
