LED's are not very bright, the outer case is cheap hard plastic. Worst of all the magnet will not hold the light in place on a vertical surface. The weight of the unit is more than the magnet can hold and the unit slides down to the floor. Hanging down from a flat or inclined surface works ok. I was not expecting a mil-spec device, but I'm a little disappointed

It's perfect for the IT work I do. Its magnet allows me to just stick it to the side of the server rack where it nicely illuminates the ports and leaves both of my hands free to make the correct connections.

OK. Not superbright, weak magnet.

Not "superbright" and the rear magnet is weak. You need a solid flat area for the light to not rotate or slide. I was hoping this could be a car work light that would clamp anywhere, but I don't think that will work without replacing the magnet. One would think 24 LEDs would be really bright, but they are just regular LEDs. There are three LEDs for a "flashlight" and that only makes use harder. If you want the main 24 LED light, you end up clicking the power button 3 times turning the flashlight on, then off, then the main light goes on. Read More

Reasonable value for the price

by DaChickenLady on 12/6/2011

I agree with the other reviewer that the one-button operation is not convenient and that this product is not as bright as one may expect based on the number of LEDs. However, I do think that the product provides good value based on the price I paid. The main (24) light is bright enough for me to read in the dark. I think this light will also be useful for camping. The biggest issue I have with the light is it won't be convenient to change the batteries. There is no hatch or slide-cover. I will have to undo several small screws, replace the batteries, and then tighten the screws. This, of course, means I'd better not need to replace the batteries in the dark. Read More
