28 Hand Held Brass Pirate Telescope: Nautical Ship Scope

This telescope is made from brass and extends to about 27.5" and can retract to about 8.5". With the scope's magnification of approximately 12x, you can clearly view far away objects and landscapes.The telescope is modeled after older style scopes. It can be focused by fully extending the entire body of the telescope, then slowly contracting and expanding the eyepiece portion only.Galileo is credited with inventing the first refracting telescope. Through his understanding of how light passes through a lens, he was able to construct a device that enabled the user to focus on an object and see it as if it were closer and clearer or brighter.
