Great KVM (Depending on your keyboard)
Love this kvm. It does everything as advertised, and video and audio quality are great. However there are a couple of issues. First the kvm ties up the numberlock key on your keyboard. This is a pain if you like to use the numberpad on your board as there is no way to remap that key. The real issue however comes if you have a Logitech G15 keyboard. Thankfully I have a ver.1 keyboard so my problems are not as bad as those with a ver. 2 board. On my board if you have it connected to the back of the switch the progamable Gkeys and the LCD display functions will NOT work. If you plug the board into the front usb accessory port the Gkeys and Lcd display work fine but you lose hotkey control over the kvm and have to change computers from the front of the switch. This is not ideal because most of us bought this board for gaming, so I have to reach down and change the connection for the board to game then change it back when Im done. People with a ver.2 board have reported this same issue plus a huge amount of lag. Some say its so bad it makes the board unusable. I am hoping that a future firmware upgrade will resolve this issue. Bottom line, if you have a G15 ver.1 and can live with switching the connection this is an excellent kvm. Video is great with DVI connection and sound through my Logitech Z5500 5.1 speaker system is excellent. I have 3 computers hooked up and have a 4th spot open to work on other peoples machines (my side gig). Also the ability to switch kvm, audio and the front usb accessory port independently or together is very useful. If you have a ver.2 board I would look elsewhere. Buy.coms price was also the best I could find online or retail by at least $40 with some sites wanting as much as $600 for this same item. Delivery was fast and well packaged and I received it undamaged. I hope this helps.
