|Make your existing speakers wireless with Amphony's wireless speaker kit. Eliminate messy speaker cables around your room. This kit comes with two wireless amplifiers that each deliver 80 Watts power to a speaker. Customer Reviews of 5.8 GHz Wireless Speaker Kit - Model 1600
And I received it FAST:)
Perfect to make rear speakers wireless9/11/2013
I purchased this wireless kit after trying another kit that works at 2.4 GHz. I did return that kit since it does not work reliably in my environment. The Amphony wireless kit on the other hand works like a charm. Setup was fairly simple. It is mostly a matter of connecting the transmitter base to the home theater receiver and the two wireless receivers to the rear speakers. The kit comes with everything that is required as opposed to the other kit that I had before which made me purchase some speaker cable (even though it is called wireless). There are two things that I like most about the Amphony kit: 1) It uses the less crowded 5.8 GHz frequency spectrum which is nice since I have lots of wireless gadgets in my house that mostly work at 2.4 GHz. I have not had any issues with interference thus far. 2) It comes with 2 wireless receivers. This means that each of the two rear speakers has its own dedicated receiver. Most of the other kits I looked at only have one receiver unit and therefore you will still need to run a fair amount of speaker cable albeit it won't be less visible. The sound quality is excellent. Make sure though that the level control of the transmitter base is set up properly. You better read the section of the user manual before doing this. Since this kit is universal, you can connect almost any brand of speakers to the wireless receivers. I am quite pleased with this kit and recommend it to everybody who doesn't want to run long speaker wires through their home.
Because of the size of my speakers, the amplifiers are attached to the back of the speaker stands pointed up to the ceiling. I ended up having to wire one speaker to the receiver because the transmitter only picked up one amplifier.
