nevr buying socks from coleman!1/11/2012
socks r comfortable, but they are bad on "shedding" .after wearing them a few time, i can see traces of them all over my carpet.won't be long before i get holes. i would exspect more from a company like coleman. never buying socks from them again.
not heavy and not the correct size1/4/2012
The other reviews are correct, the actual size of the socks are 10-13. Also their weight should definitely not be advertised as heavy. I purchased these socks for outdoor work, and some normal weight cheap socks from wal mart as well and they are both the same thickness. The calf portion is very snug so if you have big calves then I would also pass on these. Overall poor quality socks.
Wrong size in description, durability questionable12/29/2011
I bought two sets of these socks as gifts for some outdoor types I know. They seem like they will wear well since they are heavy weight, but because the sizing info on this page is incorrect (true size men's 10-13) - and has been for at least two months despite comments below - the socks probably won't wear right. Hard to say, though. For warmth, I'm sure they'll be fine. Good cushioning, too. It comes down to sizing and expectations. If they were the size listed here, I would give them 4s across the board (except for appearance - the stripes and color combos are not selling points).
Great Price and Quality12/29/2011
Ignore the negative comments. These are exactly as stated. They are heavyweight and a tight thermal knit weave. I wear a size 10 and these fit comfortably. The only issue with them was an oily smell, probably due to some finishing process. Had to put them through the wash cycle twice to get rid of it. This is a great price for the quality. These will be great for hunting and fishing during the winter months. If you know quality, you won't be disappointed.
Not as described.12/22/2011
There is no way these socks should be called heavyweight or thermal. They are very ordinary, could reasonably be called lightweight or casual. If you bite on this one and expect hiking or cold weather protection then you will be sadly disappointed. Unless, of course you wear three or four pairs at a time.
size advertised is incorrect, they are size 10-13 & term of "heavy weight" is false they are normal weight - good price.
