Electronincs need updating4/16/2014
Reviewing the 2014 Smooth 9.35 Treadmill: The display is the worse. The backlight is too bright making it hard to see what is supposed to be illuminated. The display stays on even when the treadmill is not being used; it's even on with the key removed. So you have to turn the power switch off or have treadmill plugged into a power strip with a power button. Besides the display staying on all the time, there is a little fan inside the shroud that blows on the circuit board and motor, this is a great idea, except this little fan runs constantly, even when the treadmill isn't in use, and it’s even on when the key is removed. So again you need to take power away from the treadmill to turn it off. I don’t think this little fan or the display would last very long being on constantly. How hard would it have been to have the display and fan off when the treadmill wasn't in use or at least when the key is removed. The fan in the console that blows on the runner can hardly be felt. The mechanical specs on this treadmill are impressive, but the electronic are in need of upgrading.
