| Cowboy's Back in Town is Trace Adkins' first to be released by Toby Keith's Show Dog imprint. Featuring 11 new tracks, it's a trademark return to the rowdy side of the artist with a few ballads tossed in. Some of the song titles belie the album's wily sentiments (no doubt a delight for longtime fans): "Brown Chicken Brown Cow," "Hold My Beer," first single "This Ain't No Love Song," "Ala-Freakin-Bama," and "Whoop a Man's Ass," to name a few. There are also four bonus tracks tacked onto the end of the set, including a live "Hillbilly Bone" performed by Blake Shelton with Adkins making a guest appearance. | |

- "The album's liveliest cut is the delightfully titled 'Ala-Freakin-Bama,' which recalls the hard-rocking boisterousness of Big & Rich."
