Her third best album.

on 8/30/2008

This is her best album since Music Boy and Daydream. The up tempo tracks are fun and the ballades are great. The Songs Migrate 7/10 This a nice club song with a reggae tone. Get kind of annoying in the chorus. Touch My Body 9/10 This is a funny, playful, nice track produced by The Dream. It has a bouncy beat Cruise Control 4/10 A very dull song with really corny lyrics and boring sound. Skip this one I Stay In Love 9/10 A great ballade, It's very well produced and Mariah stepped it up with this one. Side Effects 8.5/10 A good mid tempo track about Mariah's life. The beat is good and Young Jeezy rapped it well. I'm That Chick Is a classy, fun and relaxing track with hot lyrics. Love Story 3/10 Extremely boring and lifeless. Jermaine Dupri pops up which messed the song up. I'll Be Loving You Long Time 6/10 A good mid tempo track that you can dance to. Last Kiss 7/10 Is a nice ballade and very easy to listen. Thanx 4 Nothin 5/10 A short song that adds nothing to album. I usually skip this one. O.O.C 6/10 A fun up tempo song. The verses are not really good but the chorus is amazing For The Record 10/10 This song is excellent. The best song in the album. The ballade of the year. Bye Bye 9/10 This song has a great beat with a good message about the lost ones. This is song is very good. I Wish You Well 8/10 This one Mariah's voice and energy is what makes the song great. Overall this album is worth your money with Hot tracks.

Album Notes and Credits
The arrival of E=MC2 in 2008 indicated that Mariah Carey's reign as the queen of pop, and her status as one of the most popular and best-selling artists of all time, wasn't likely to end soon. The follow-up to the 2005 multi-platinum, chart-topping, Grammy-sweeping THE EMANCIPATION OF MIMI, E=MC2 reveals no slackening of focus or ambition, thanks in part to an all-star line-up of production help that includes The Dream, C. "Tricky" Stewart, Jermaine Dupri, will.i.am, Stargate, DJ Troomp, and Antonio "LA" Reid (who co-produced the album with Carey).
As usual, Carey's concentration isn't on club-oriented dance tracks but on smooth, mid-tempo R&B that pulses with sexy glamour. The lead-off single, "Touch My Body," is a case in point, a breathy invocation that induces both romantic feelings and swaying hips, and is classic Carey. Other album highlights include opener "Migrate," a moody, slinky jam; the disco-flavored "I'm That Chick"; and the ballads "I Stay in Love" and "Love Story." Nothing here is a radical departure, but Carey just seems to get better at what she does best: making sexy, listenable, flawlessly crafted R&B.
Professional Reviews
Entertainment Weekly (p.63) - "Carey remains a romantic at heart. With the ballads 'Love Story' and 'Last Kiss,' she reunites with Dupri to recapture the passionate splendor of 2005's 'We Belong Together.'" -- Grade: A-
Blender (Magazine) (p.75) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "[This is] Carey's most-fun album, and her best. Not coincidentally, it's also her most propulsive, with strong contributions from A-list producers including Jermaine Dupri, SwizzBeatz, Stargate and Tricky Stewart."
