Speed, Ease, Unlimited Uses
Just to clear up any questions about USB 2.0, its about 40x faster than USB 1.1, which was roughly 10mbs. So the new standard brings USB on par with IEEE 1394 (FireWire) which used to be my preffered transfer medium. With its backwards compatability with older USB versions (cables and devices (note the speed of USB 1.1, 1.0 devices will still be the old speed when paired with USB 2.0, however it will function properly) makes it the best option for anyone needing a USB card. AUA-3100LP KIT USB2CONNECT HBA 3EXT/1INT USB 2.0 is a good card, offers a good number of ports and a fair price. As I'm writing this the lowest priced USB 2.0 card is $30 with 4 ports. Price and the number of ports is all you need to look for when buying USB cards at this point, unless your picky about brands, but they're all the same for now.
