|Looks Good, Sounds Good|
Originally developed for use in tanks and helicopters, Jawbone PRIME's NoiseAssassin is a proprietary technology that eliminates background noise from mobile phone conversations. Jawbone is the only Bluetooth headset with a Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) that actually feels your speech, which helps Jawbone distinguish your voice from background noise. As a result, Jawbone offers better audio quality than any other headset on the market.
Jawbone has been able to eliminate real world noise better than any other headset because it is the only headset that can accurately separate speech from ambient noise. Jawbone PRIME has even better background noise elimination than Jawbone 2. NoiseAssassin™ 2.0 delivers an order of magnitude improvement in the noisiest environments (6 to 9dB) extracting even more noise while keeping the user's voice natural.
Acoustic Voice Activity Detector
Acoustic Voice Activity Detector (AVAD) provides a fail-safe mechanism when the Voice Activity Sensor (VAS) doesn't touch your face. When the VAS is not touching the face, Jawbone PRIME performs as good as or better than any other noise cancelling headset. When the VAS touches the face, you get the turbo-boost to the NoiseAssassin performance.
Functionally, the design has also been enhanced by a slight indication in the shield's texture, a small tactile crease that indicates where the switch is located. The inside contours of the product follow your face in a perfectly comfortable manner.
Customer Reviews of Aliph Jawbone PRIME Bluetooth Headset with NoiseAssasin 2.0 (Silver)
Love this product! Perfect fit, such clarity and price was well worth it! I would highly recommend this product!
Small sleek with good sound quality. Hidden buttons takes getting used to and can sometimes be annoying. Overall a good product which I recommend.
My wife really likes this jawbone.
Best I've used.9/13/2011
I've been using mine for a couple of years now. I've owned 4 other headset devices, not including 3 speaker phones. This is the best I've had by far. The only gripe I have is the ear-piece fit. The one it came with was useless. I ended up using one I had on a old bluetooth headset I no longer use and now it fits perfectly. No need to use the earloop, and the fit seals so well that the incoming caller's voice is so loud with the volume on full, it's painful. No one has ever complained about the outgoing voice quality, unlike my other devices.
I can only compare it to what I had before, it's my second bluetooth device but hands-down beats the pants off what I had - and I thought that was okay. One issue was the fitup in the ear. Fortunately I read other's reviews and got the Jabra softgel earpieces otherwise the Jawbone would almost be unusable for me. I've found that using the Jabra ear insert I don't even need the earloop on the Jawbone and it's as steady as a rock in terms of fit and function.
Mediocre at Best4/22/2010
I am a very heavy phone user and typically spend about 4 – 5 hours on calls each day for work. Although the size and design of this device is nice, the following is my opinion: 6 – Sound Quality – incoming lacks bass and still not very loud. When in a noisy area, the device is not loud enough to overcome the ambient noise. Outgoing, speaking to others, people tell me that is sounds robotic and warbles 6 – Battery Life – lasts about 2-3 hours of talk time 4 – Ear Bud – although the device does not all out of your ear, it does tend to shift and makes it even more difficult to hear. My opinion is to stick with the legacy brands like Plantronics and Jabra.
Best Bluetooth Headse t I've Owned3/20/2010
This is the third bluetooth headset I've owned and is definitely the best. The sound quality is superb and I have yet to have someone complain about the call quality...this happened frequently with the other headsets I've used. The only con I have is the fit comfort. Overall, it is fine, but I can't wear the headset more than an hour without some discomfort. This is fine, since I never intend to wear it all day long...only while in the car or when switching planes when traveling.
