|Players move into a living, breathing world inside the Nintendo DS...and then invite their friends to visit from anywhere on earth.|
In this sequel to the wildly popular Nintendo GameCube game, players and up to three friends can hang out in the same village and interact in real time--either through wireless LAN or over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Now players can visit a friend's village from thousands of miles away.
The touch screen makes item management and world navigation a breeze. Typing letters and designing patterns are now just stylus strokes away.
Days and seasons pass in real time, so whether players want to decorate their homes, catch bugs or fish, collect brand-new items like hats and sunglasses or just chat with the wild and wacky characters in their villages, there's always something to do.
Players make their own stories. A player and up to three friends move into a village and just live life, extend a home, interact with their neighbors and explore the village.
Much of the cast of the original Animal Crossing returns, including animals of all shapes and personality types: K.K. Slider, Tom Nook, Blathers, Mr. Resetti and more. There are also a number of new characters.
Players move into village, buy a small house and then do whatever they want. Time and seasons pass as they do in the real world, so there will always be something unpredictable happening. Collect or buy items, talk to neighbors, go fishing, catch bugs, dig up treasure or hang out with human friends.
Tap the touch screen to type letters, draw designs for clothing or wallpaper, drag clothing or items onto characters or just lead them around the world. Using DS Download Play or Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, players can hang out in real time with up to three friends.
"It's endlessly addictive, and thanks to its design, it'll be a long time before you run out of things to do in it. GameSpy
"Wild World is a game you're going to be addicted to for years, there's always something to do... Siliconera
Kills time greatly12/19/2012
awesome game, you will find yourself killing a lot of time without even realizing it. I suggest this game to anyone who likes nice simple games to pick up whenever you have down time. it is a Must own game for all DS owners. don't let the cartoon theme fool you, there is a ton of content and play-ability. im already addicted
practically the first animal crossing9/24/2012
it really is the first animal crossing. it adds a few new things like new furniture, roommates, shooting balloons down with a slingshot, accessories, storing money before you pay off your debt and just a bunch of other small things. it is just handheld version. I wish they would have put more time into making it and adding new ideas but it is what it is.
Animal Crossing: Wild World is a much needed and even greater improved sequal to Animal Crossing for the Gamecube. It really made a great home on the DS. All the added stuff and features really make this game worth playing over, and over, and over again. A lot of my time was sucked into this game. I am a bit confused why its $129 dollars though...
DS Lite Animal Crossings Game1/23/2008
Great price, shipped fast, my child loves it.
Why do people keep talking about their hands cramping!? Set the DS on a desk and play, lay in bed and set it on the bed and play, or use only the stylus or only the keys dont use both. Anyways about the game... I love it. There are so many choices of items to buy. You can design your house however you want. I love the feeling of your hard work paying off. Working hard planting a garden, upgrading your house, buying nice stuff for your house to make it look cool, filling up your museum with fish/fossils/bugs/paintings, or planting all different varieties of fruit trees. Then you have your friends visit your town and show off all that youve done. Its a great game and theres almost no end. The game is based off of the real calendar so there is something different every day. In winter there will be snow on the ground, in spring there is the flower festival. You will want to keep playing just to see what you will find next.
Absolutely the BEST!9/25/2006
My three daughters and myself LOVE Animal Crossing Wild World. It's a tad bit better than the original Animal Crossing. But they're both still great. We all fight over the DS just to play ACWW. I think the game teaches kids a valuable lesson. First of all, to get anywhere in the game you have to WORK to pay for what you want. You have to work to have a better and bigger house, and you have to work for the material items that you want. It also teaches you to be nice and helpful to the people there. We love making friends and helping the little characters and are always sad when they move away. The graphics are great and everything is so cute. Another cool thing about it is the fact that you can get online with it. (with a wifi connection) If you have friends to exchange codes with you can be interacting with your best friend. There's really nothing bad about this game. Your child will love it! And so will you!
Okay, this is just a plain old great game. You get to create your own town and do whatever you want. The game revolves around your Nintenod Ds eternal clock so the seasons will pass, the day will change and much more. A new day for you leads to a new day to your game with random events popping up from time to time. The newest feature added is the WiFi feature letting you visit other peoples towns millions of mile away. When you visit another town there are special artifacts that weren't avaible in your town and making some of your items rare, this that means you can sell them for big money. You can do much more including making your own song, fishing, creating a hat, and just so much more. You can even chat with people and make signs up in other peoples town about your items. You must bye this game, but it is sold out almost everywhere, so order it here or maybe you will get lucky and get your hands on one.

Bigger is better!12/12/2005
After a few enchanting hours perusing the new AC world, I was left with a sense of frustration. Why? Well, my eyes hurt, my hands were cramped up and I had trouble catching even the laziest fish! I couldn't use codes (that meant working harder!) and I kept dropping the stylus while writing letters or fumbling with my inventory. The concept was a good one, but it could not be fully realized in the world of the handheld game! I'm going to use my old GBA to take a trip to the good old Animal Island! >sniff!< What a letdown!
