Customer Reviews of Antec TruePower Trio 650w SLI Ready Power Supply
I replaced my truepower 2.0 550 with this PSU, it's better because the voltage fluturates within only 1% while my old 550 psu is within 3%. It also supports all mainstream video cards, I'm using a 4870HD with no problem whatsoever.
I've been using Antec power supplys for over 8 years now, they've been reliable for the most of time (only one broke within 8 year time frame) I just ordered it (to replace my antec 500w) it was on sale for $64 couple days ago, I'm sure it'll be another reliable product to own.
Nice quiet PS11/28/2007
Very nice, very quiet and so far reliable powers supply. Much quieter than it's closest competitor. Antec is worth the extra money for the quality.
Tons Of Power11/28/2007
This unit has plenty of power. I like it so much, that I bought another one for a second computer. The large cooling fan is located on the underside of the power supply. The fan draws air from inside the computer case, and pushes the air through the power supply, then out the back. The fan is thus super quiet. The unit has a huge number of assorted power output leads, for connection to almost anything. The only downside is that all of these power output leads are permanently attached to the power supply, so you'll likely have tons of coiled-up unused wires to find room for, inside your computer case.
90 days and counting...great so far11/15/2007
I have had this PS running for just over 3 months now. The rebate took forever to get here, but it did finally show up this week. The 120mm fan is very quiet, and I installed it in a silent system, so I can say for sure it is quiet. I never hear it speed up for any reason. Plenty of connections...too many perhaps, but bottom line is, if you have more devices in your system than this thing has connections, you probably have other issues to deal with. Overall very pleased with the quality construction, quiet performance and stability.
4 day lifespan10/16/2007
Easy to install and worked as advertised...for 4 days and then died. Took the machine to a local shop and they confirmed the PS was dead. RMA'd back to BUY.COM and from what I've read about it, getting a replacement is a certainty. A bit of a bother, but that's life.
Great for SLI2/27/2007
Installed this puppy into an Antec 900 case and things are running smooth. Runs very quiet and does not generate much heat. Price here beat all other online retailers.
Good Power Supply1/24/2007
A great power supply for the power user. Have not had a single problem with this power supply so far. Also, the power supply is surprisingly heavy and from my reviews from Maximum PC, the heavier the power supply, the better it normally is.
