|Today's premium notebooks can play many of the most demanding games but that performance comes at a great cost: most notebooks provide inadequate cooling, and run a huge danger of overheating. Antec's Notebook Cooler 200 offers gamers the perfect solution, a robust and stylish cooler for even the most cutting-edge notebook.|
Sturdy construction. Super quiet fan. Comfortable in lap.
Well made and very quiet1/17/2011
The Antec 200 cooler is doing a excellent job of keeping my HP G72 laptop from over heating even at the slow fan speed. It is a very sturdy cooler that is not bulky and holds the computer at a very comfortable position while being very quiet. The on off switch just turns an LED decorative light off. It would be nice if it had a third position o turn the whole unit off without having to unplug the usb connection to turn the unit off. Overall I am very happy with this cooling device.
This Antec Cooler has kept the core temperature of my laptop anywhere from 20-30 degrees cooler. There's a high and low setting on the fan - I keep mine on high. Plenty of airflow into the fan since the cooler is raised above the surface it sits on. The surface it sits on stays cool, so no damage to wood furniture (I use mine on the coffee table sometimes). It has a slight angle to it so it slants toward you, slanting the keyboard as well making it easier to type. It plugs into a USB on the laptop so no electrical cord to mess with. Buy.com has it the cheapest I've seen, and the price has come down after I bought it, $7.00 less than I paid. It's a good price.
Nice fan... worth $60?12/24/2008
I bought this fan a little while ago because i needed a fairly powerfull fan to fit in a small area (depth wise). The fan is definatly more powerfull than other laptop fans, and it looks pretty sweet also. but if your laptop is on top of the fan well... you can't see it, so looks really dont matter for that. where i have it (mounted to a wall) it does. The fan however isnt quite as powerfull as i hoped, i still only feel a light breeze. but it's doing an ok job so far. I personally dont think it's worth $60, but definatly $40. or if you've tried other laptop fans and they just arnt getting the job done and really need the best. overpriced... but still the best.
NOTEBOOK COOLER 20012/13/2008
This product does just what it claimed to do, I very happy with it. I just think it is about 20.00 overpriced, of course if it holds up for a couple of years then I would say it was a good value. But, I've never gottn more then about 9 to 12 months out of ANY notebook cooler and I've owned four or five different models over the last server years.
