Editor's NoteAn Ecuadorian day laborer begins a career as a mixed martial arts fighter after crossing paths with a dejected sports agent in the midst of a mid-life crisis. Andres' life is heading downhill fast. A prominent sports agent from L.A., Andres retreats to Ecuador to do some soul searching when he becomes the victim of a violent robbery. Just when it looks as if Andres won't make it out of the situation alive, tough day laborer Vincente steps in and saves the day. Recognizing that Vincente has the skills to take the world of mixed martial arts by storm, Andres returns the favor by introducing his new friend to legendary trainer Royce Gracie, and prepping the emerging fighter to take Las Vegas by storm.

I'm a skeptic but this movie captured me from start to finish. Valencia does a perfect job playing the role of the capable underdog, and any movie with Royce Gracie has to be good. Not to mention the solid acting and directing in this film. If I was a stock broker, I'd say "strong buy"!
