I couldn't believe how thin it is. Great picture too.....
This is an amazing Color Monitor. The resolution is quiet surprisingly clear, I really didn't expect it to be this good. The prices have come down so this Monitor was in the range I was looking to purchase. Definately a FIVE STAR Monitor so I highly recommend this to all my friends to buy.
Great monitor at a great price4/3/2012
This is a terrific monitor for games and media. I wouldn't recommend it for photo or video editing though. The contrast is too high, and shadows are generally blurred. A more muted CCFL-LCD monitor with IPS panel might be more suitable for multimedia editing. But for just watching movies or playing games, this is excellent. The colors are vibrant, , there's no noticeable lag, and the contrast is excellent. It is ridiculously thin. Coming from an older CCFL-LCD monitor, the LED backlighting makes this LCD monitor incredibly thin. I can only imagine the contrast if you were moving to this from a CRT monitor. This is also one of the best priced 23" LED-LCD monitors around. The only cons: no HDMI, no speakers, no VESA mount, and slightly narrower viewing angles compared to more expensive sets. HDMI is not necessary, since this monitor employs the electronically identical DVI-D. It's the same video signal, just a different cable. Because of the thinness, I imagine that speakers would sound incredibly lousy anyways, so the lack of speakers (and thus HDMI) is not a deal-breaker. The viewing angle is still good enough for general purpose usage and media consumption. However, the lack of VESA mounts might be a deal-breaker for some, so that should be taken into consideration. Overall, a terrific monitor if you have realistic expectations.
