From the Author of The Grudge.
Moving into her first apartment, Sayaka invites her friends to come over to celebrate. During the party, she begins to behave strangely and suddenly runs to the balcony and plunges to her death. At her funeral, her friends refuse to believe this was a suicide.

Her sister Mariko discovers Sayaka wasn't the first to plummet to her death. As she begins to uncover the shocking history of Apartment 1303, she comes face-to-face with an evil more powerful and terrifying than she could ever have imagined.

"This film will get under your skin.  Gregg Dumont, KillerReviews.com
"...a great ghost tale...[with] suspense, very edgy scenery shots, and some very creepy moments...a very disturbing story...  Richard Lim, Jr., Moviexclusive

Editor's Note
Sometimes finding the perfect apartment is a curse more than a blessing, especially if the apartment is unit 1303. Although it's bright and airy, with a lovely view, it has a dark and bloody history that continues to haunt each and every resident who makes the fatal mistake of moving in. This J-Horror film is a terrifying look at how a tragedy from the past can send ripples through time that can only be stopped by solving the mystery that created them.

Horror Movies & Stuff 8 of 10
"Apartment 1303" is another asian horror film in a long line of asian horror films about restless spirits wreaking havoc on the living, and the consequences and carnage that follow. This one however, written and directed by Ataru Oikawa tries to be a bit different and a bit smarter, and succeeds for the most part. The film follows a specific apartment numbered "1303", which holds some very dark secrets. Mainly the ghost of an abusive mother and her abused daughter which haunt the place. Anyone who enters the apartment is pretty much screwed, and either winds up possessed, or dead...The films ghost isn't present as much as most ghosts are in these overseas movies. It's not shown much, nor is it used alot, but it does make an appearance enough times to keep the viewer intrigued, and wanting a second or third appearance to come very quickly..."Apartment 1303" is a great ghost tale which if you're looking for something to rent for Halloween, or just something to spook you out, it should be right up your alley. While it doesn't offer up a ton of action or blood and gore, it does offer great suspense, very edgy scenery shots, and some very creepy moments held up nicely by a moody score which increases the scary mood and tone of the movie. Couple that with a very disturbing story, and you've got yourself a watch-worthy foreign film.
