Hilarity at a Great Value

by Neil on 2/27/2009

This box set is a terrific value at Buy.com's price. If you like "Are You Being Served" and that brand of humor, this box set is a great purchase. It arrived completely sealed and blemish free. I couldn't find it any cheaper elsewhere, and it approaches $200 in price at many retailers. Also, I didn't have to pay for shipping, though it took a long time to arrive. This is most recommended! Are you Being Served

One of the best British comedies imo. The characters are so over the top that you can't help but love them. I grew up watching these comedies on the local PBS station and was so happy to find that they were available on DVD now. This complete collection even includes the pilot episode. I have never found a better buy for a complete series set of DVDs. Elsewhere I found this set for over $300. Well worth the investment at either price, but I really loved what a great bargain I got from Buy.com. Read More

Editors Note
Note This release gathers together all 69 episodes of the classic comedy show from the UK. The stories center around London's Grace Brothers Department Store, and involve the campy misadventures of the staff. The fun begins when principle characters Mr. Grainger (John Inman) and Mrs. Slocombe (Mollie Sugden) discover they have to work in close proximity to each other. The highly disgruntled Grainger runs the rather uptight men's clothing department, while Slocombe heads up a team selling women's underwear. The clash leads to endless innuendo, and plenty of laughs. The show ran for 13 years on British television, and has become a huge hit on PBS in the USA.
