From the Publisher:
"Top cat Arnie teases Philip because he is confined to a wheelchair. Yet when Arnie falls down the school steps and breaks a leg, twists a wrist, and sprains a tail, he begins to see life from a different perspective. With few books about mainstreaming available, this entertaining story should be welcome".--Booklist. Full color.
Annotation:
When a new student named Philip arrives at school most of the other children don't know what to do or how to act because Philip is in a wheelchair. Upset by Philip's differences, Arnie spends most of his days teasing the new student. Then one day Arnie falls down the stairs, twisting his wrist, spraining his tail, and breaking his leg. Now Arnie knows what it's like to be disabled and with his newfound empathy he is able to reach out to, and befriend, Philip. When Arnie recovers he makes sure that he--and the other students--include Philip in their activities. Color illustrations accompany the text.
