Meeting after a 38-year period of separation, Lionel Hardcastle (Geoffrey Palmer) and Jean Pargeter (Judi Dench) enjoy rekindling their relationship in this affectionate BBC comedy. The couple took a promising stab at romance in 1953, until Lionel was swept away to assume military duties in the Korean War. As they coincidentally reconvene after Lionel unwittingly hires Jean's daughter to work for him, much laughter ensues in this family-oriented jaunt through their blossoming relationship.
