I researched monitor options several times, but when my old monitor died, I knew that then I really had to buy a new one and researched again. I wanted the larger screen and one that was LED instead of LCD. I have good speakers so speakers or their quality was not an issue for me. It was easy to set up and recognized by my computer... wow! The screen was so bright right out the box that I dimmed the display light by almost 20%. I do photo editing and the colors on the screen are perfect without me needing to adjust anything. There is no movement to adjust the tilt of the screen, but that has not been an issue for me. All in all, I'm delighted with my new monitor!
Nice monitor for the price12/25/2010
I bought one of these a few months ago and liked it so much that I just brought another one for my wife. No dead pixels on either monitor and I think the color and clarity is great for what it is. In other words, this is not an expensive monitor and is well worth the money. I prefer the 4:3 aspect ratio since it’s what I use at work and it’s what I am used to. Since I have only had the monitors for a few months now, I can’t comment on reliability, but over the years I have purchased probably 7 ASUS motherboards and never had a problem with any of them. I wish the buttons were on the right side instead of the bottom (makes it awkward to get to over the keyboard), but since I don’t use them that often, it’s not a show stopper. The built in speakers are pretty much worthless, not sure why manufacturers bother to include them.
This is the best monitor that I own. I have an older computer that does not support wide screen monitors. This moniter fits perfectly. The screen is extremely sharp. Resolution is very high. Price is very good. I can't find any cons.
