From the Publisher:
From the world's most beloved chronicler of the heart comes this astonishing story of everlasting love. Here, endings bring new beginnings and tragedies lead to unexpected joy, as the tale begun in True Believer continues...AT FIRST SIGHT There are a few things Jeremy Marsh was sure he'd never do: He'd never leave New York City; never give his heart away after barely surviving one failed marriage; and never become a parent. Now Jeremy is living in the tiny town of Boone Creek, North Carolina, engaged to Lexie Darnell, the love of his life, and anticipating the start of their family. But just as everything seems to be settling into a blissful pattern, a mysterious e-mail sets off a chain of events that will test the strength of their commitment. Capturing all the heartbreak, tension, and romance of the newly wed, AT FIRST SIGHT explores the love between a man and a woman and between a parent and a child-and reveals an extraordinary truth: that the emotion that can break your heart is sometimes the very one that heals it...
Annotation:
In the sequel to the bestselling TRUE BELIEVER, suspicion threatens the happiness of a newly married couple awaiting the birth of their first child. In the previous installment, science journalist Jeremy Marsh followed a story to a small North Carolina, where he met and fell in love with Lexie Darnell. Their whirlwind courtship quickly led to marriage, and now Lexie is pregnant. But Jeremy begins to question what he really knows about his new wife when he receives an e-mail implying that he did not father the child.
Author Bio
Nicholas Sparks
Nicholas Sparks was born on New Year's Eve, 1965, in Omaha, Nebraska. The son of a scholar, his early years were largely nomadic until his father settled into a Ph.D. program at the University of Southern California. Like his father, Sparks excelled intellectually throughout high school and college at the University of Notre Dame. His first love, however, was running. When a severe tendon injury forced him off the track during his first year of college, Sparks, at his mother's request, delved into writing. His first book, THE PASSING, was never published and still sits in his family's attic. Several years passed, during which time Sparks married and had two sons. After surviving uninspiring careers as a real estate appraiser, waiter, telemarketer, and entrepreneur, Sparks wrote his first published work, THE NOTEBOOK. This inspirational love story based on the life of his grandparents was an instant best-seller in 1996. Since then, he has written two other books--MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE (1998) and A WALK TO REMEMBER (1999)--both of which have achieved best-seller status. MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE was adapted for film in 1999 and starred Kevin Costner, Paul Newman, and Robin Wright Penn.
