Everything that I needed
I researched quite a bit for kvm switches and needed the following functionality: 1. Must support usb 2.0 (this is one of the few if not the only one supporting 2.0 with the other features below that I needed). 2. Must support hot-key switching 3. Must have shareable usb ports (hub functionality. I have a 4gb sandisk flash drive. 4. Must support at least 1680x1050 resolution (its max is 2048 x 1536). I had not seen a single rating for this product which is why I'm writing this. I'm very pleased with this kvm switchbox. I needed to be able to plug in a flash memory stick and have it shareable between my three computers (soon to be four). When I switch computers with hotkey, the usb flash drive remounts to the new computer making the flash drive available on all my computers such that I can shared data between computers easily. Twice in about three weeks, the flash drive became unrecognizable on all the computers I think because I had files still open on the flash drive when I switched. Usually that doesn't do any harm, but sometimes I get errors to that effect. Had to reboot the kvm and computers. I don't fault the switch for that behavior. Anyway, I highly recommend this switchbox. It even works plugged into my Thinkpad docking station. It also supports audio switching although I probably will never use that. Only downside I see is the price. Wish this box were more in the $100 range.
