Product Overview

Batman is back and better then ever with new gadgets and a little help from former Gotham guardian Bruce Wayne in Batman Beyond: Seasons 1-3!

Season One: Terry McGinnis was just an ordinary teenager...until his father was mysteriously murdered. Suspecting foul play at his father's company Wayne/Powers Corporation, Terry meets Bruce Wayne and learns a secret identity hidden for decades. Now too old to battle injustice, Wayne refuses to help. So Terry does what any brash young kid would do: steal the Batsuit and take matters into his own hands! Vowing to avenge his father's death, Terry dons the high-tech suit - tricked out with jetpacks, a supersensitive microphone and even camouflage capabilities - in search of his father's assassin. Get in on the action from the beginning of a new partnership between an ex-crimefighter and his apprentice.

Season Two: Does the suit make the man, or does the man make the suit? That's the question Terry McGinnis asks himself each time he takes flight over the crime-ridden streets of Gotham City. As the new Batman, Terry has all the high-tech gear and gadgets he needs, plus Bruce Wayne's research skills and instincts. But this impetuous teenager is still a newcomer to the crime world, lacking his mentor's experience. Taking down criminals like The Jokerz, Shriek and Curar is a grueling battle of wits and will require a hero's abilities. But with each fight won and each victim saved, Terry grows more confident in his role as Gotham's guardian.

Season Three: As the new Batman, Terry has all the high-tech gear and gadgets he needs, plus Bruce Wayne's research skills and instincts. Season Three became the final season for the series, as Terry joined forces with the JLU (Justice League Unlimited). The series ended with the episode "Unmasked" which told the story of one of Terry's first missions under the cowl. Experience all the suspense and excitement of the final 13 gripping adventures in a 2-disc collection featuring the fiendish villains of the city's gritty future - and the one hero who can stop them!

Includes 52 amazing episodes on eight discs!

Editors Note
Note This take on the Batman legend follows teenager Terry McGinnis, who takes over from an aging Bruce Wayne after learning of his secret identity. McGinnis contacts Wayne after his father--a former employee of Wayne's--goes missing, and the two become a formidable crime-busting team, using the former caped crusader's brilliant mind and McGinnis's agility to bring miscreants to justice. McGinnis's search for his absent father is the common thread that ties each episode of the show together. This release includes every installment from BATMAN BEYOND's first, second, and third seasons.

Review Batman's back and more spectacular than ever. Set in a near future where superheroes have actually aged, Bruce Wayne has turned over his Batman cape and cowl over to a much younger Terry McGinnis. Batman Beyond is an amazing look into the future of Gotham City where some old faces have disappeared, and some new villains have come to wreak havoc...The animation in Batman Beyond is nothing short of spectacular. It's quick, fluid motion, mixed with a simplistic and dark noir style. The stories are simple enough for children to understand, but are also intelligent enough for super hero-loving adults. Fast techno and rock music blares in the background to further speed up the pace...a must-see for fans of Batman, both young and old. It's fast, flashy, intelligent, and most importantly, tremendously entertaining.
