No support for USB keyboard = Fatal Flaw9/28/2007
A USB mouse will work with an adapter but the keyboard is 100% non-functional with a usb adapter.
Great piece of equiptment.3/13/2007
I looked at several different switches to use between my Linux and Windows computers, but they were all pretty expensive until I found this one at Buy.com. I should have known to look here first, they always have the best deal. Anyway , this switch works great, and it was very easy to hook up. Now I can switch between computers at the touch of a button.
Cheap and easy way to share an LCD monitor3/23/2005
This is a great KVM for LCDs. It works great even for resolutions up to 1600x1200. I strongly recommend this. I think I'll get another one, to connect all three desktops to my LCD.
Simple - Effective1/6/2005
I was searching for a quick and easy way to work on additional computers without the headache of having to swap keyboard, mouse, and monitor cables every time. This Belkin unit is small and easy to operate with a press of a button. When switching between systems, the lag time is less than 3 seconds.
Hard to beat this deal6/24/2004
I agreed with almost everything "Deal Hunter" said about this product. By the time you get two sets of quality cables you have just about paid for the entire kit. Has all of the features I was looking for from a quality manufacturer (long experience with Belkin KVM's at work), at a great price!
Nice Price - Long Cables !!!!!5/22/2004
Previously owned the LinkSys Mini 2-port (KVM2KIT), but the cables were just a little on the short side. I Liked the Linky's small footprint AND the simple hot-key switching (scroll-lock 2x). I bought the Belkin because it has 6-foot long (non-integrated) cables and the price (after $10 MIR) was too good to pass by! It works perfectly, mouse wheel + scrolling too! This model also has a manual port switching button on the switch itself, so you don't have to use the hot-keys if you don't want to. Also has a 3-year warranty!!! Now for the negatives: The footprint w/ all cables connected is pretty large! The included KVM cable kits contain completely seperated cable lengths... I used zip-ties to group the wires together for PC1 and PC2 respectively. Easily tangled otherwise! Overall: Works perfectly, as advertised. Well made w/ high quality cables and connectors! Great value and better than average performance... if you need a quality KVM w/ long cables at a great price, BUY THIS ONE.
