Lots of conflicts with USB devices2/12/2007
The product's design is interesting, but the cord that connects the hub to the PC is only about one inch long, so if you have several USB ports next to each other the hub gets in the way of the other cables. You can use a USB cord extension, but none is included in the package. More important, the hub gave me all sort of problems with my XP Professional system. Printers would no longer work, every time I connected a new device to the hub it would recognize it as a wrong or unknown device, and a couple of times it even brought the whole system down (blue "screen of death" and reboot). After removing the hub all the problems disappeared and the same devices that were not recognized correctly now work. Given these compatibility problems I returned the item for a refund. You try it at your own risk...
can plug in two devices before you have to use the electrical outlet. Gets warm though, I hate to use the word 'hot' so extremely warm will cover it. Nature of the beast?
Works just fine.9/17/2006
I purchased this USB hub and can't really complain. The connection is stable and fast. I do like the fact that the USB ports are arranged in a circle; it's much easier to add and remove USB plugs tha way.
