I bought this for my Ipad, and it does the job. It's very sturdy and it gives the ipad this great look. It's also very very durable, it won't just fall off easily. But I think that a full screen protector should of been offered with it. But that's okay for the value its amazing
I had been using a Targus leather iPad 2 cover for some time when my spouse suggested I try the Belkin Snap Shield and a smart cover. My initial reaction was that I was fairly happy with the cover I had been using, but as over the next few days my Targus started to shed rubber, I decided to give the Belkin a shot. Designed to go with the iPad 2 smart cover, the Belkin backing cover is formed translucent plastic that snaps on easily to the metal side of the iPad. There are notches--not holes--cut out for the headphones, microphone, power button, side switches and charging slot, with two appropriately sized holes for the speakers and the camera. While this means the edges aren't flat all the way around, the increased ease of getting to the manual controls while holding the iPad comfortably more than make up for it, and with the smart cover closed, the point is moot. The plastic is translucent--not transparent--so iPads with special inscriptions won't have those clearly visible, but compared to a transparent back cover, there is far less visibility to any scratches or mars that might occur. In the several weeks I've used it, though, it has yet to scratch or crack at all. The one thing that it does pick up a lot of is grease marks from my fingers. While a quick Windexing (or even a moist washcloth) clears them right up, it's very obvious when a greasy-fingered kid has been playing with your iPad when you're not looking. All in all, I'd recommend this backing for anyone who wants to use the smart-cover without leaving half of their tablet exposed.
