"Kate and Alex Rocket are blessed with a wonderful marriage and a lovely home. Although Kate can''t have children, she and Alex look upon Sara and Emily, daughters of their good friends Don and Debbie Winter, as part of their family. With one phone call, everything changes. Sara accuses Alex of a terrible act, opening up a vicious rift between the couples. Kate watches helplessly as her innocent husband is convicted and sent to prison. But when even greater tragedy strikes, Kate''s grief turns to anger, and she discovers an inner strength and steel-edged resolve to clear her husbands name and ruin those who destroyed their life together. But Kate''s greatest challenge will be in avenging Alex without losing her chance at a new future and a precious new love"--Amazon.com.
Annotation:
Bestselling author Fern Michaels knows how to craft a suspenseful tale jammed with take-no-prisoners female characters. She does this once again in BETRAYAL, the story of a woman seeking revenge for her husband being locked behind bars for a crime he did not commit.
Author Bio
Fern Michaels
Fern Michaels grew up in Hastings, Pennsylvania, got married, and had five children before she picked up a pen to begin writing what would turn out be one best-selling romance after another. One of the most consistent bestselling romance writers of the '80s and '90s, Michaels writes mostly steamy historical romances with heavy doses of passion, seduction, and torrid adultery. Divorced from her first husband, she dedicates much of her time to philanthropic concerns, having set up the Fern Michaels Foundation, which grants scholarships to students in need. She also set up affordable pre-school and day-care centers for struggling single mothers.
