| Think having three wives is a dream come true? Think again. HBO presents the new contemporary drama series that tells the story of Bill Henrickson (Bill Paxton), a practicing polygamist who lives in suburban Salt Lake City with his three wives and seven children. An independent businessman who runs a growing chain of hardware stores, Bill faces a myriad of challenges in meeting the emotional, romantic and financial needs of his wives -- Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn), Nicki (Chloe Sevigny) and Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) while dealing with their kids, three adjoined houses, an ever-mounting avalanche of bills, and the opening of his newest hardware store. |
"This is a complex role that Paxton nails immediately. Tim Goodman, San Francisco Chronicle

Editor's Note
HBO pushes the boundaries once again with this hit show about a man with three wives. Bill Paxton (ALIENS) stars as Bill Henrickson, a Salt Lake City fundamentalist Mormon who appears to have eked out an achingly mundane existence for himself. But scratch beneath the surface and Bill is far from ordinary. Balancing three wives--Barb (Jeanne Tripplehorn), Nicki (Chloe Sevigny), and Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin)--who live in adjoining houses, Bill also has seven children to raise. He negotiates the strange and stressful setup throughout the show, while his best friend Don Embry (Joel McKinnon Miller) often chimes in with some advice from his own life as a polygamist. This release includes every episode from BIG LOVE's first season.
