Bill and the Purple Cow in Oz (Paperback)
|Author: Chris J. Wright|
Great new Oz adventure!9/9/2010
In this book we journey back to the magnificent Land of Oz, but with new and loveable characters. Bill, finding himself bored on a rainy Saturday, has a talk with his Grandfather, who shares a remarkable story. Bill takes a momento of his Grandfather's journey back to his room and inadvertantly sends himself to Oz. There the unique characters he encounters and teams up with quickly find their way into our hearts and we can't put the book down. This is illustrated with classic styled pen and ink drawings to spur your imagination, and is full of puns to stimulate your intellect, and all while you sit back and enjoy the ride, or read I should say. I'd highly recommend this for young readers, or parents reading to children. All will be entertained for hours on end. I hope to see more from this author.
Great book for ages 9-90!9/9/2010
This book is a story that takes us back to the beloved Land Of OZ, but this time we accompany a young boy named Bill. With Bill, and with the help of his Grandfather, we journey to Oz, meeting new and exciting characters. The book has many illustrations for the younger reader and lots of puns and plays on words to entertain the older readers. I've read most other Oz books, and count this among my favorites. I recommend this as a great gift.
