I ordered 3 of these and they are working great for our 3 large dogs. The only issue that I had was that they were bent to varying degrees and it took 10 min each to bend all three back to normal. I really like the three doors and metal floor tray (instead of the typical plastic tray).
Not the heaviest wire crate but great for my needs and the best price to be found. If you have a dog that tries to escape or tears up the crate this may not be good for you, but if you have a docile pup who just needs a safe place you can't beat this crate.
The wire used is not very strong and poorly welded. It bends easily and my dog was able to break the welds by prying the wires apart with her teeth.
the doors have two latches each, which they are large enough to need, but is more effort tot open/close than one. If the wire were stronger and not so easy to bend, then one may have sufficed to secure the each door.
Big plastic pan is nice and the setup was pretty easy. It just wasn't strong enough to contain a determined dog.
It is nicely made and BIG. It is completely assembled in the box. Just fold the sides up and ready to go. No tools, no directions.
Agree with others, not super strong. Good for small-medium dogs. I have a toy poodle so works.
My 75 pound malamutes were able to break the welds on this "heavy duty crate" easily. The door welds were also broken just with them leaning on the doors.
I bought 4 of these, one for each of my dogs. They lasted 2 months, I've had to zip tie together the crate panels around all the corners to hold the crate in one piece while I wait for my new crates to be shipped by Rakuten.
I do not recommend these crates for dogs with separation anxiety or stubborn puppies being crate trained.
This crate is the best value period for large dog crates. My rescue now uses these exclusively for our pit bulls and other large dogs. Note that there is not a single wire crate on the market that can withstand a dog that is determined to get out. So if the dog breaks out, it is not the quality of the crate that is the problem. You need a high-carbon steel crate for those little monsters. But for all the rest, this is great.
