"...funny, action packed...[the] mixture of darker material with the comedic was superior to a great many competitors... Don Houston, DVD Talk
"There really isn't a whole lot to dislike about [Bleach]. Right from the start we are introduced to very fun characters that are animated in a very lively fashion ViewPoints.com
"...one incredibly entertaining anime that will grab you and refuse to let go. Carlo Santos, AnimeNewsNetwork.com
Editor's NoteBased on a popular manga, BLEACH is a thrilling anime series about Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15-year-old boy with the ability to see ghosts. With the help of Rukia Kuchiki, a death god from the Soul Society, he uses his special power to protect the living from evil spirits. In this volume, Ichigo returns home to find everything back to normal--that is, until people start disappearing!
Customer Reviews of Bleach V16
in this show, unexpectedly, Renji appears in the school courtyard (dressed like a color blind folk-hippie), & promptly moves into Urahara's little madhouse. Meanwhile, Orihime is feeling depressed over her lack of strength. After a dream about her dead brother Sora, he suddenly appears at her door, & Ichigo, Uryu, Chad & Renji appear just in time to see her be dragged into the Hell Gate.
After all the excitement of the last fifteen DVDs, this one falls flat on its face and I found myself playing games and reading manga online while watching just to do something entertaining...because I was hoping by watching that I wouldn't miss something important for later. No, nothing in these episodes. Very sleeper. Sure, you can't keep the intensity of a series running on High forever.
