Editor's Note
Cheryl (Alexandra Paul) and Greg (Bruce Boxleitner) are devastated when they find out that their adoptive daughter is suffering from leukemia. The situation is further complicated by the fact that her biological father, Kurt (Michael Riley), who is known to be a violent criminal, may be the only suitable bone marrow donor. The family is loathe to seek him out, but they make an appointment with him nonetheless, and when Kurt fails to materialize they go to his apartment. There, Cheryl makes a startling discovery, and they realize that Kurt is a fugitive, attempting to escape the wrath of a brutal mob boss. The desperate criminal makes a last-ditch effort to escape, kidnapping his own daughter as collateral, while the desperate parents will resort to any means necessary to rescue their dying daughter from the only man who can save her.
