Editors Note Boer boy is a true story of the experiences of Charles du Preez, a ten-year old farmboy, during the Anglo-Boer War of 1899-1902. He and his father were captured by the British and taken prisoner. They were transported to the prisoner-of-war camps of Umballa and Solon in India.
