	While BOOTY ESSENTIALS 2001 lists a year in its title, this collection actually covers hip-hop from a wide swath of the 1990's and while it's heavy on the 2 Live Crew and related material (it is a Luke Records release, after all), there are some pleasant surprises on this compendium of house party bangers. Alongside pure classics of the genre such as "Tootsie Roll," "Daisy Dukes" and "It's Your Birthday," are non-booty-specific smashes such as Naughty By Nature's "O.P.P." and Tag Team's "Whoomp! There It Is," making for a more than respectable middle school rap collection, whatever one's tastes may be.
