Customer Reviews of Brewell H91236 Cafe 8-Cup Coffee Plunger
It's a 4 cup plunger.8/18/2011
It even says it on the box. dealgenius idiot CSR says cups can be 4 or 6 oz. Will not pay for return because it says 1000ml. So far buy.com has not been any help. Don't buy!!! dealidiot does not stand behind their product. It's also poorly made~~~the plunger does not seal very so it's only useful if you like coffe grounds in your coffee.
Would You Like to Eat Some Coffee?8/18/2011
When I removed the carafe from the box, the glass looked foggy, as if it had been run through a dishwasher cycle, eventhough it had been listed as new. I don't know, it could have been part of the manufacturing process. There was no insert in the plunger box, as there usually is with just about anything you buy, (such as care instructions, etc.) I gave it a thorough washing and made my coffee and poured it into my mug. The amount of coffee grounds that went into each mug really suprised me, there were so many. I love coffee, but not enough to eat the grounds! I don't have a strainer with a weave fine enough to properly strain this from coffee plunger to mug, so this sits in my kitchen until I can get one. As the two reviewers before me stated, the seal around the plunger does a very poor job of pushing all of the grounds to the bottom and keeping them there. Since I bought this when it was on sale for a very cheap price, I chalk this experience up to sometimes you get what you pay for. I really wanted to like this product, but I just can't recommend this particular model to anyone, unless you don't mind the extra step of straining your coffee from plunger to mug with a very fine strainer.
Came with free human hair8/3/2011
Everything Steve said "Major issue is that the seal around the plunger filter does not adequately seal against the glass, allowing ~20% of the coffee grounds to bypass and end up in your cup! Now I see why this product was on sale - my advice is to avoid this cheap version and purchase the Bodrum for ground-free coffee". Mine came with free human hair all over it.
