Ugh what was that? Or to coin BJ's phrase "Durr! What was that?" This was a bestseller? It got made into a movie? I found BJ to be a horrible person with no redeeming values. She's obsessing over 128 lbs? Really? Zellwegger had to put weight ON to play her? How insulting. What's even worse about her daily/hourly obsession over her weight is that this book is supposedly loosely based on Pride & Prejudice (yes with a Mark DARCY). Somewhere Austen is rolling over in her grave. The book showed no path to Darcy loving BJ at all. 2 or 3 awkward meetings where he's absolutely horrid to her and that's it? At least in Austen's version there was more to their meetings. Honestly, I pushed myself through this book.
