Editor's Note Though he is best known for his work with legendary prog-rock bands Yes and King Crimson, drummer Bill Bruford also plays jazz as a solo artist and with his band Earthworks. Michiel Borstlap is a Dutch pianist acclaimed for coupling his jazz stylings with fusion and funk. The duo unite as Bruford Borstlap for this 2004 concert recorded in Nijmegen, Holland, performing largely improvised renditions of "Game of Chess," "Happenstance," "Two Left Shoes," "Round Midnight," and more.
