Customer Reviews of Buffalo Technology AirStation HighPower N150 Wireless Router & AP
For the price i paid, i don't think you can beat it. It now runs a buffalo version of DD-WRT optionally to make it incredibly powerful in terms of what this router can really do. Only con's are it is not 300mbps 802.11n, it's only 150mbps. Lan performance is very good, and it never needs a hard reboot with the dd-wrt firmware.
Easy setup, small footprint, and great design.
Stable with Good Range3/23/2011
After 2+ months of ownership, I'm still 100 percent satisfied. Buffalo got smart and bundled dd-wrt firmware right from the factory, which is a big improvement from their proprietary software which, in my long-term experience with many Buffalo wireless products, tended to be flaky to set up or unstable during use. With the new dd-wrt firmware, this unit ROCKS. Range is excellent due to its high power output (which is fully adjustable). It's very stable even after a couple months without a reboot, and the firmware gives us very granular control over just about everything. Newbies might be a little overwhelmed by so many config options, but old pros will love it. (To Rick from Wayzata, MN-- sounds like you got a defective unit that should be RMA'd. Please don't let one bad apple spoil your opinion of a terrific product.)
WHR-HP-GN and Buffalo branded DD-WRT 14512 is FLAK6/13/2010
Buffalo's rebranded DD-WRT build 14512 and whr-hp-gn is flaky. Installed it two days ago. Crashed and rebooted a day ago. Then, it crashed and rebooted 40 minutes ago.
