|The Buffalo Nfiniti Wireless-N Dual Band Ethernet Converter is an extremely versatile wireless client adapter. Use it to wirelessly connect gaming consoles, printers, media players, desktops, laptops, and any other device with an Ethernet port. With a built-in four port switch, up to 4 devices can be simultaneously connected to the Ethernet Converter for instant wireless connectivity. Once the simple browser-based setup or AOSS™ one-touch configuration is complete, the Ethernet Converter can be moved from one device to another without reconfiguration. Dual band 2.4GHz and 5GHz capabilities allow you to separate your data streams. You can allocate one band for data and another for streaming media traffic. When combined with a Wireless-N router, you can take advantage of ultra fast Wireless-N throughput speeds (bit rates of up to 300Mbps).|
Connection to my network took about one minute, using the AOSS feature. This is my second WLI-TX4-AG300N an I am extremely satisfied with both units
Finally! I got what I paid for.6/15/2011
My unit is over a year old. It's rock solid as I stream video from a Slingbox and no problems. This is the most reliable wireless bridge I've ever had and I've had 'em all.
Works well for simple use - NOT true layer 2 bridg8/26/2010
I use this unit to connect the computers in my basement to my Buffalo nfinity wzh-hp-g300nh on the 2nd floor which is connected to a Clear wimax modem in the BR window. I have not had a problem maintaining a 300Mbs connection using the 20/40Mhz mode. The only issue I have with this unit is that it does NOT seem to operate as a true layer 2 bridge. It doesn't appear to pass the MAC address of each client plugged into it. Your choices are either use the MAC of the Ethernet Converter OR use the MAC address of the 1st client that connects to it. My HAVA box is connected to my nfinity router upstairs & I had to use the latter setting for my HAVA software player to work on the 1st connected PC downstairs. Unfortunately, that prevents any other PC connected thru the Ethernet Converter to be able to stream media thru the HAVA player. All other programs seem to work OK so far, including DirecTV2PC. However, I think any software that relies on a getting a true MAC address across this 'bridge' may have issues.
Flawless with Buffalo router3/16/2010
Got this last year along with a Buffalo router as I wanted to upgrade to 802.11n. The one button setup worked as advertised. I use it for video streaming to my wireless-challenged media player about 60 feet away from the router, with no problems.

Device works just fine once configuration is completed successfully, which took quite a bit of time. Included documentation with the device is atrocious. Calling Buffalo tech support nearly led me to simply pack this up to send back to Buy.com. After lurking in Buffalo's tech forums online I found the information I needed and got it working with my Netgear WNR3500 router. I am using this as the pipe for my Samsun BD-1590 to stream Netflix and Pandora just fine.
