A New Syndicate is in Charge and Sei's Team is No Longer Needed...
Another terrorist attack rocks that city and grips the citizens with fear. But the girls won't be saving Tokyo this time: they've been de-commissioned. The truth behind Jo's existence is revealed and nothing seems to be the same. Meanwhile, Maria awaits the final battle she was originally programmed for.

It'll be Angel vs. Angel as Maria and Jo face off in the ultimate fight of their lives. Meanwhile, Sei devises a plan to destroy not only RAPT, but the dominance it has commanded over Tokyo. All she has to do is reassemble the team to do it.

Contains episodes 21-24: New Sheriff in Town, Genocide Angels, Red Sea Gallows, and Angels, Explode!

Editor's Note
The genre-bending anime series Burst Angel blends sci-fi, action, comedy, and even a touch of spaghetti Western into a thrilling girls-with-guns confection. In futuristic Tokyo, a new law that allows citizens to openly carry guns has actually led to an increase in crime, and a shadowy organization known as RAPT (Recent Armed Police of Tokyo) actively encourages violence in order to profit from the chaos. Into this anarchic milieu stride a quartet of scantily clad young women named Jo, Sei, Amy, and Meg, who attempt to bring a sense of order and justice to the lawless land with their gunslinging ways and leather chaps. Violent and sexy, this sixth volume continues the anime series with four more episodes.

Professional Reviews

Toon Zone 9 of 10
Burst Angel is yet another in a long line of girls with guns anime series trying to recapture the magic of 80s classic Dirty Pair. And it does an admirable job, adding giant robots and monsters to the familiar mix. Though frankly, I hardly noticed them as my eyes must have been somewhere else...Fast-paced John Woo-style lead slinging is the order of the day, but there's also a healthy amount of goofy comedy, a tiny amount of severely overstretched spandex, and even a hint of drama. It's never very deep, but usually a lot of fun...Although set at least several decades in the future, Burst Angel offers a very realistic portrayal of many aspects of today's Japan...Burst Angel's cel animation is attractive and smooth. The attention to background detail is fantastic, and there's a lot of neat mechanical design...The opening theme is a cheesy Japanese rap number, but most of the score is very catchy, ranging from rock to Sergio Leone western material...If you're a Dirty Pair fan you can't help but be won over by Burst Angel. - Chris Wood
