Overpowered by a stranger and injected with an unknown substance, Dylan O''Connor is told he''s a "carrier," not of a disease but of something wondrous that will transform his life in remarkable ways--if it doesn''t kill him in the next 24 hours. Available in a tall Premium Edition. Reissue.
Annotation:
Dylan O'Conner is launched onto a nightmarish odyssey when he is seemingly randomly attacked and injected with a mysterious substance. What follows, as he and his autistic brother try and figure out what has happened, will take them into the path of another victim of the "doctor" who injected Dylan, and together they find themselves on the run, with only 24 hours to escape from the fleet of black, unmarked vehicles that is pursuing them.
Author Bio
Dean R. Koontz
Along with Stephen King, Koontz is the preeminent horror writer of his age, selling millions and millions of books worldwide. Koontz had a horrific childhood; his father was an abusive alcoholic and his mother was mentally unstable, and they both actively discouraged him from pursuing a writing career. However, when the 12-year-old Koontz won an essay contest, the seed was planted. He studied education and was a high school English teacher from 1967 to 1969, at which point he began writing full time. At the end of the '90s, Dean Koontz has written nearly 80 books of suspense or horror.
