From the Publisher:
A successful souffle of a fantasy about a small boy in search of companionship. Refused dog or cat, deer or tiger, bear or dinosaur, he finally settles realistically for a two-legged pet: a new boy next door. |
Annotation:
Arnold sorely wants a pet, but each time he brings an animal home, his mother has an excuse for not keeping the creature. At first Arnold brings home puppies and kittens, but his pet choices turn wild when he brings home a bear, a tiger cub, and a python. Will Arnold's mother ever see things his way and allow him to keep one of these creatures as a pet? Four-color illustrations accompany the text.
