This is my second Canon 200EG Camera back pack. I have 22 lbs of camera gear that fit in and on this bag. It has two different strap spot locations to strap down tripods. The pockets work well for extra lens filters. There are actually three zipper compartments: The main camera area; Speedlite 580EXII, Rebel XTi mated with my EF 24-70mm 2.8L with hood, EF100-400 4.5-5.6 L IS with hood, EF 2xII extender, EF 50mm 1.4 with hood, and my paperweight EFS 18-55 kit lens. Also inside of the main camera area are two zipper mesh pockets that hold my remote zap shot, cables, flash cards, battery charger, and extra batteries for the flash unit and camera. The next two compartments are in the zippered lid. The first is where I keep my car keys on a small quick hook, my cell phone, GPS, spot unit and first aid kit. The other compartment I carry my lunch, water bottles and snacks. There is also an elastic strap compartment that I rarely use because this area is not water/snow tight.
I do a little hiking, some dirt bike riding and a lot of snowmobiling. I always have my camera pack with me. That's right! I take my L lenses with me. I have trusted this pack. I have abused this pack for three years and it is finally showing wear and that is why I am buying a new one. The lower strap bracing is starting to separate from the bag, and the main zipper compartment has some stitching that has finally separated making it no longer weather proof. Like I said, I have abused this pack. I was very happy that I could still get a new one!
